Rhoda Raymond is an associate in the firm's Real Estate section. Her practice involves the sale, acquisition, financing and leasing of commercial real estate. She has represented developers in the formation of owners' associations and condominium associations.
Prior to law school, Rhoda worked as a community planning consultant, in Washington, North Carolina with the Mid-East Commission. She also worked in the field of geographic information systems for the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources from 1996-1999. Both of these positions helped her understand some of the complexities of developing real estate.

- Represented a national mortgage company in lease negotiations to help the company open offices along the east coast.
- Represented a national timber company in the sale of tracts of excess land.
- Represented a local restaurant developer in the financing of fast food restaurants.
- Represented a local non-profit in the subdivision of lands and the resolution of title issues to rehabilitate existing housing.
- Represented a local title company in the resolution of title claims.
- Represented a local developer in the preparation of covenants and condominium application.
- Represented an individual who flips houses in the purchase and sale of real estate, including the structure of holding companies.
- Represented a local hospital in the sale of a parcel for the construction of a medical hospital building, including restrictions to control the campus.
