R. Webb Moore is an intellectual property and construction lawyer who began practicing law with Hirschler Fleischer following four years of work as a consulting engineer. He is a Shareholder and past Director of the Firm. The focus of his practice is: intellectual property law, representing businesses in patent, trademark and copyright matters including IP litigation; general business and corporate law, representing business owners and individual entrepreneurs in a variety of business concerns; and construction and real estate development law, representing owners, contractors, subcontractors, architects and engineers in a variety of construction-related and development concerns. Webb is a licensed professional engineer ("P.E.") and is registered to practice as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Relevant Experience:

  • Representation of clients in intellectual property litigation; including patent, trademark and copyright infringement litigation;
  • Representation of clients before the United States Patent & Trademark Office;
  • Consultation with clients regarding protection of all forms of intellectual property, including copyright protection of computer software, software licensing, trademark and service mark protection and patent protection;
  • Representation of owners and developers, contractors, design professionals and sureties in commercial, retail, mixed-use and institutional real estate development projects;
  • Representation of business clients in corporate and partnership transactions and disputes, including large, complex litigation;
  • Representation of design professionals (architects and engineers) before the Virginia State Board of Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Certified Interior Designers, and Landscape Architects;
  • Appeals of public contract cases before the Federal Board of Contract Appeals; and
  • Prosecution and defense of large, complex construction claims, including mechanic's lien claims, with respect to significant public and private construction projects.
