Nate Story handles a wide range of civil trials, with a particular emphasis on construction disputes, collection proceedings, land use and zoning proceedings, real estate development, bankruptcy representation, and general commercial litigation. Prior to his law practice, Nate was a high school English teacher, baseball and wrestling coach, engaged in urban property renovation and management, and volunteered for a year with various overseas non-profit organizations.
Relevant Experience:
- Represented suppliers, contractors, and owners of commercial and residential properties through various stages of construction litigation.
- Represented several local commercial and residential developers involved in land-use approvals, appeals, and litigation.
- Litigated and defended multiple suits involving mechanic's liens on behalf of claimants, contractors, and owners.
- Obtained recovery for various judgment creditors through traditional and innovative debt collection procedures.
- Obtained relief for debtors and creditors in the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
- Interned with the criminal division of the United States Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Virginia.
- Interned with the Honorable Walter D. Kelley, Jr., Eastern District of Virginia, United States District Court.
